We design synthetic promoters using natural gene regulatory sequences that are cell-selective or conditionally active to client specifications
We have developed a platform of algorithms and know-how that is engineered to run meta-analyses on diverse functional genomics datasets and enable us to:
Identify short gene regulatory motifs in the genome that are active in specific cell types or active under specific environmental conditions
Engineer genetic circuitry from these motifs to create constructs that allow cell-type selective, controllable gene expression
Rationally-designed to confer more effective and tighter control of gene payload expression to a precise specification
We work with our clients to design synthetic promoters and gene expression vectors that control genes to a client's target profile, i.e., promoters of a certain size, active at a certain level, specific to target cell types, or in response to a stimulus.
We have a flexible business model that is tailored to the size and needs of our clients, and to the industry that they operate in. Typically, we charge a technology access fee for our designs, which is then followed by development and commercial milestones.
Our clients
retain ownership of the custom-designed promoter / gene expression construct IP and rights to apply for patents covering the promoter designs that meet the target profile. This enables effective IP protection for our clients' products and processes.
